Blackeyed BulbulBlackeyed Bulbuls were the first to make my garden bird list in December 2013 – attracted by the fruit on the feeding tray.  They also swoop down to pick up bread crumbs off the lawn and often perch on the tops of trees calling out to each other with a merry sound. The most unusual visitor in December was a Pale Chanting Goshawk, a bird I tend to associate with game reserves! It was being mobbed by a flock of Whiterumped Swifts as it flew over ‘our airspace’.
