TRADITIONAL DRESS IN BEDFORD

Serendipitously, I happened to be outside the Templeton School in Bedford when several children came outside to show off the traditional attire they had donned in celebration of Africa Day earlier this week. What a feast of pulchritude!

  1. I saw only one girl wearing a Shwe-Shwe outfit: dress, matching apron and doek. Mind you, none of the outfits worn are truly Xhosa traditional dress – certainly not the beadwork.
