WHAT’S FOR TEA?

A Common Fiscal came to see what we were having for our tea:

One tasty bite was alright:

Some of your scone has gone?

Don’t look at me – I don’t eat tea!

That crumb on my beak you saw isn’t there anymore:

    • This particular bird is becoming quite familiar – perhaps it is thanks to the combination of the current drought and the pressing need to feed its youngsters – and often perches on a branch above where we have our tea. It readily swoops down to pick up anything that falls and is not averse to helping itself when it thinks no-one is looking.
