A THRILLING THRUSH

If you give any bird more than a passing glance you will be able to achieve more than merely identifying it. This Olive Thrush provided me with several minutes of amusement.

Ever curious to see what’s on the menu.

There might be something tasty among these leaves.

That was a bit difficult to swallow!

I’ll practise my ballet moves.

Looking for a well-balanced meal.

Preparing for lift-off.

    • Sometimes I think photography helps us to see things more clearly by freezing an action. I found the ‘ballet move’ quite fun to watch. It stretched the other leg too.

    • It was fun photographing this bird. I couldn’t resist placing the final photograph, even though it is not in focus, for this is the strangest pose I have ever seen.

  1. That “ballet” photo has me thinking of a song; “You put your right foot in, you take you right foot out, you put your right foot in and you wiggle it about…”
