  1. We have used an old door as a dining room table. The home where it originated is an old Victorian in Rondebosch built in 1898. The door is now a work surface in the studio called “The Officer’s Mess”.

    • The doors cover what would otherwise have been a large expanse of wall. As confusing as it is, this pattern of doors helps to create a sense of coziness out of what might otherwise have felt like being in a barn.

  2. This is a fun photo Anne. You really have to take this post to a site called “Thursday Doors”. People from all over the world post pictures of unique or beautiful doors. Sometimes it is an entire post of doors; sometimes just one photo. “Thursday Doors” used to be hosted by another blogger and I posted door shots there once or twice.
