EASTERN CAPE SCENES

Here is a pictorial tour of my local environment:

Cattle grazing in the park below our home.

Rini – Grahamstown East.

Industrial road on the outskirts of town.

Waainek Wind Farm.

An abandoned cottage at the disused Atherstone station.

Lothians area.

Abandoned church on the Southwell road.

Typical farm scene.

  1. Interesting seeing your country side. Ours would look much different. There are so many fields dedicated to crops. Our land is more flat. I live in the Wabash River valley. We do have some softly rolling hills. Most farms here have large seed bins to keep some of their crops until they dry or until the price of their crops goes up. There used to be cattle kept but not so much any more. People keep some for their own use but not many.

  2. Thank you for sharing this – it’s nice to see where you live in conjunction with the frequent interesting critter sightings along the way. The wind farm looked out of place somewhat.
