FLOWERS IN TOKAI

A short walk in Tokai revealed a treasure trove of indigenous flowers, starting with the familiar Crane Flower:

More surprises were to follow with a variety of Protea species showing off their full glory – they can speak for themselves:

    • I think it is a lovely name and read that it is named after Tokaj, a range of hills in Hungary, as it was originally an open area with various wine farms and smallholdings. It still has patches of natural beauty.
